Since 1989, Scripps Center for Dental Care has looked after smiles from a suite on the Scripps Memorial Hospital campus. It began as one cosmetic practice and grew into something rarer — a place where board-certified specialists across nearly every dental discipline work side by side.

That means your cleaning, your cosmetic work, your implant or your orthodontics can all be planned and delivered by one coordinated team who already knows your history — with the time taken to explain each step, and real care for patients who feel nervous in the chair.

Dr. John Weston, DDS, FAACD

Dr. Weston owns and directs the practice and has cared for La Jolla smiles since 1989, focusing on cosmetic smile design with non-metal restorations. Dr. Nicholas Marongiu and a team of specialists round out the care under one roof.

Accredited Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry — one of only around 80 dentists worldwide to earn it.
Graduated near the top of his dental class and lectures internationally on modern techniques.
A former naval officer, now leading a practice built around comfort and lasting results.
